Legend has it that along a stretch of warehouse store, sells a Blue Nasi Lemak ...

In a lane sparse in human traffic, along the right row of closed shutters sprout a small round signage with the word "Jia Xiang Nasi Lemak".  Though it barely draw attention, be warned,
"Jia Xiang Nasi Lemak" is not your normal Nasi Lemak...

What's so legendary: The blue Nasi Lemak which is more than just its color and the die die must try Har Jong Chicken Chop!!!

Often, food blogs would show fancy food that looks good, but may not taste as good.  This is not the case for Legendary food hunter.

As you can see the rice is blue but it is more than some gimmicky coloring.  The blue rice is actually blue pea rice; what perenakan usually used for making kuehs.  Applying the blue pea rice to a nasi lemak is a brilliant idea as it gives the rice a more chewy texture and accentuate the fragrance.

The rice is erhm healthier/less Sinful!

Besides the great taste, Jia Xiang Nasi Lemak is less sinful than your conventional Nasi Lemak.  They have cut back on the coconut and uses blue pea flower which have health benefits.  Still not healthy enough, you can try out their different drinks below. :)

Say where can you find any Nasi Lemak healthier than this!

More than just the blue rice! The Har Jeong Chicken Chop is Heavenly

Jia Xiang Nasi Lemak is more than its rice.  No doubt, Instagrammers will have a handful of great photos with its colorful assortment of drink and beautiful blue rice.

However, what steals the show for the day is the Har Jeong Chicken Chop! The chicken chop is an revolutionary adaption of the tradiational Har Jong Chicken; prawn paste coated on chicken drumsticks or wings and fried to perfection.

Taste-wise, it simply rocks. Being able to a balance of crispiness to the chicken skin while maintaining the tenderness of the chicken.  And the best part, it is deboned!!!  Where else can you savour your Har Jeong without dirtying your hand.

Catch the Rendang while you are at it!

There is a reason why Jia Xiang Nasi Lemak makes it on the legendary list.  For those who do not crave for fried food for the day, there is also another great option.  Chicken rendang!!!

This chicken rendang is another items on the menu that you simply cannot miss.  From its flavour and taste, one can easily said that it may not be the best in town but it is easily one of the best!  But do note, this rendang is not crispy 😏

Things to note: Not enough spaces and menu changes from time to time

The eatery is simply too small.  There is only 8 square tables indoor, unless you don't mind sitting outdoor in the hot sun.  If you really hate waiting, be prepare to take away or come at an off-peak hour.

Also, their menu changes from time to time.  So of our latest visit, the most recent menu is the 3 sets below.

And most IMPORTANTLY, it is closing soon.😡
