Maxwell Market, Last row of stalls from main road (Near Tian Tian Chicken Rice)

Legend has it that a stall in maxwell market that combines wanton noodle with fu zhou fishballs ...

Fu Ji has been operating for the longest time by a pair of elderly couple and has won many accreditation in the past.  However, gradually with time, it has been forgotten....

What's so legendary: Their Signature, Fu Zhou Fishballs and Wanton Noodles!!!

There are not many stalls left in Singapore, selling this yummy and traditional Fu Zhou fishballs (fish ball stuffed with meat).  Let alone stalls that combine the best of both world, wanton noodles and Fu Zhou fishballs.

Those who dine at 福记Fu Ji, would leave the place feeling satisfied after trying their signature (Fu Zhou Fishballs and Wanton Noodles) is great!  Taking a bite into the fish balls would leave a yummy soup stock oozing out of the fishball.  The meat inside the fish ball is well flavored blend well with the fish ball.

On top of that, the Char Siew (Honey Roasted Pork) is yummy and doesn't have much fats in it.  Add some chilli into the mix and it would taste heavenly! PS: You have to manually add the chili, good news chilli lovers! Time to spam ;)

Last but not least, what is wanton noodles without the vegetables.  福记Fu Ji vegetables are well-cooked such that it is not very hard, nor too mushy.

Things to take note: Long waiting time and it may not be around for long...

Though 福记Fu Ji fishball and wanton noodles are highly recommended.  Do take note that the waiting time is pretty long even though there may not be much of a queue.  This is because it is run by 2 elderly couples who are a bit advance in age.

In the past, the wife would be helping to prepare, but of late, we could only see the uncle manning the stall.  So to all visiting them, would like to seek your kind understanding if they are not as fast as expected.

And as they are a bit advance in age and with no potential successor seen helping out in the stall, it seems that 福记Fu Ji might not be around in the far future.  Catch it soon before it became a legend.
