1. TECK KEE WANTON MEE

Telok Blangah Food Center, #01-52

Legend has it that the sauce of a wanton noodle is sweet and savory...

Teck Kee Wanton Mee have been around for a very long time.  There used to be 2 stalls, the original stall above run by a pair of elderly couple and another one by their son in Tiong Bahru.  Due to rising rental, the 2nd stall was previously at Tiong Bahru, River Vaelly, Zion Road and Tanjong Pagar Plaza Coffeeshop.

What's so legendary: Sweet Sauce perfectly combined with the sweet Char Siew and the springly noodles and fried wantons.

It is really hard to find another stall in Singapore that sells a similar type of wanton noodle.  Their sauce are sweet and savory, blending well with the springy noodles (back in Tiong Bahru days, the noodles were hand-made) and the sweet Char Siew which doesn't have much fats on it.  To add on, their fried wanton are well-fried, making it crispy and delicious.  And the good news is that such yummy delights are sold at market rate, ~$3/$4.

Things to take note: Not enough!!!

Maybe it is too delicious to me.  Usually i will end up finishing it in a blink of an eyes and might find it not to be enough, which kept me asking for seconds!  For those who love meat, they have a set which comes with chicken.
